COVID-19: OFFICES TEMPORARILY CLOSED, BUT BUSINESS CONTINUES - Message from SCIC’s President and CEO

POSTED: Mar 22, 2020

Effective immediately, all SCIC offices across the province and Head Office in Melville, SK are closed to the public until further notice. We continue to monitor the situation and will review and re-assess in two weeks. During this time, our staff remain available to assist producers by phone and email. We are also suspending all SCIC attendance at tradeshows, conferences, and other public events for the foreseeable future. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together through this period.

As an alternate option, current customers may use SCIC’s online applications, CropConnect and AgConnect, available on scic.ca. Customers can also set up Direct Deposit to receive their SCIC claim payments. If you have questions about Direct Deposit or payment options, please call our toll-free line at 1-888-935-0000.

It is important for SCIC to continue to support Saskatchewan producers as we approach the 2020 growing season. We are fortunate to have the technology in place to assist with business continuity and I am confident in SCIC’s ability to deliver our Programs. I encourage producers to connect with a SCIC representative by phone or email to discuss their farm insurance needs. We are working diligently to assist all customers with applying, reinstating, canceling, or making changes to Crop Insurance contracts before the March 31, 2020 deadline.

We all want to do what we can to help keep our families safe and healthy. We look forward to continuing to support Saskatchewan’s agriculture community and we appreciate your patience during this time.

Most importantly, we wish good health and safety for you and your families. Stay safe.
