Bonnie Schmidt

Vice President of Information Technology

Bonnie holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Regina and has over 25 years of public sector IT experience. Prior to joining SCIC, Bonnie provided strategic direction and strong leadership to the Government of Saskatchewan as the Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Information Technology Division. As the CIO, she represented Saskatchewan’s interests as a member and treasurer of the pan-Canadian Public Sector Chief Information Officer Council (PSCIOC) focusing on federal/provincial/territorial information technology and information management issues. Bonnie is a visionary and collaborative leader focused on operational excellence, enterprise security, data management and digital enablement.

Bonnie is from Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. She and her husband Garry live in Regina where they enjoy camping, hiking, golfing and spending time with family and friends. They also have a passion for travelling and exploring all that other countries and cultures have to offer.
