On Monday, November 1, 2021, the 2021 Canada-Saskatchewan Drought Response Initiative launched the application for its second payment. Producers can now complete an application form, detailing eligible livestock inventory as of December 31, 2021, and the Extraordinary Costs Self-Assessment. Payment Two requires a Premises Identification Number.
Today, Agriculture Minister David Marit announced details of the AgriRecovery program, now referred to as the 2021 Canada-Saskatchewan Drought Response Initiative. Producers can submit applications toward the Initiative on September 1, 2021.

The program will provide a per head payment to help maintain breeding stock. This financial relief will help producers with extraordinary costs caused by drought, such as accessing feed and water.
