Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture. In 1993 he joined the provincial government where he has spent his entire 25-year career with Government. He has completed an MBA from the University of Guelph (2001). Throughout his career he worked in numerous roles in the Department/Ministry of Agriculture; Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation – policy and research, Industry Development/Value-Added, Policy/Economics, Livestock regulation and development and Extension.

In 2007, Paul rose to the position of Executive Director of Livestock Branch and in 2013 became the Executive Director of Regional Services Branch. In March of 2016, Paul accepted a new challenge in the Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport, becoming the Executive Director of Park Operations. In December of 2018, Paul returned to the Ministry as an Assistant Deputy Minister. He currently provides oversight of the Policy, Trade and Value-Added and Livestock branches.
