The Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation (SCIC) is reminding Crop Insurance customers to submit their Seeded Acreage Reports and Stored Grain Declarations by June 25.

SCIC uses this information to calculate insurance coverage, claims and producer premiums. To avoid old production being counted as new, in the event of a claim, it is important to report all stored grain.

For producers who have acres that are too wet to seed, June 25 is the deadline to file Unseeded Acreage claims. Producers had the option of selecting up to $100 per eligible acre for the Unseeded Acreage Benefit (USA).

Honey producers insuring their crops are reminded the deadline to report their number of hives and stored honey is also June 25, 2013.

Customers can submit Seeded Acreage Reports and Stored Grain Declarations to SCIC by phone, mail, fax or by visiting a local Crop Insurance office. Seeded Acreage Reports can also be completed online through CropConnect.

For more information, producers can contact their local Crop Insurance office or call 1-888-935-0000.
