Unharvested Acres

Due to an early snowfall, many Saskatchewan producers were unable to complete harvest in 2019. SCIC has options available for producers with unharvested acres.

Crop Insurance customers, who registered an Extension of Insurance this past fall, have coverage as they wrap up harvest this spring.

Before you put your unharvested insured crop to an alternate use, contact SCIC so an inspection can be completed.

After harvest is complete, report production information to your local SCIC office by June 10, 2020.

Wildlife Damage on Crop Left Out Over Winter

Unharvested acres left out over winter are prone to damage caused by wildlife. Before you harvest, graze or feed your damaged crop this spring, report it to your local SCIC office right away. We’ll help you complete an assessment and finalize your claim.

The Wildlife Damage Program provides compensation to all Saskatchewan producers. You do not have to be a Crop Insurance customer to be eligible for compensation. No sign-up is necessary!
